先週の土曜日にダートトラックが再びオープンされました。
地滑りが起きて以来、水の下に埋まってしまった部分のトラックの代わりに、新たにその水を迂回する形でトラックが開かれ、ようやく先週末にオープンとなりました。

Rees-Dart Track
- The Dart Track has re-opened between Bedford Stream (approx 6km north of Chinamans Bluff) and Daleys Flat. The new route around the slip and newly formed lake is rough and difficult to traverse and is not passable during heavy rain. This new route adds 2 hours to the previous 3.5-5.5 hours from Chinaman’s Bluff to Daleys Flat Hut.
- Caution is required for 1 km above Shelter Rock Hut due to river erosion of the track. An alternate high water track has been cut and marked in this location.
- 25 Mile Hut (OTMC) is suitable only for emergency accommodation, due to its derelict condition.
- Whitbourn Track - bridge crossing the Dart River to this track has been destroyed; a new bridge will not be constructed this summer season - river crossing skills are currently required. There is slip damage on the track itself.

ダートトラックの出発、終着地点のチャイナマンズ・ブラッフからデイリーズ・フラット・ハットまで、今までの３時間半から５時間半の行程に２時間プラスして下さいとの事です。
また、大雨の時はその部分の新しいトラックは通れないとの事。
ですので、これからまた雨が続いたりした場合は、出発前に入念な情報収集が必要です。
